The fuse box does not have eternal life, corrosion on the contacts can lead to many electrical failures. You can make the contacts for the wiring corrosion-free, but if the clamps are too far corroded, they lose their clamping range. If this is the case, you will inevitably have to deal with annoying malfunctions, which can even lead to a fire hazard.
